The BJJ sessions at Elements Fitness involve all aspects of grappling from the clinch to the ground and include instruction on entering, throwing, joint locking, pinning and choking.
Taught by experienced and professional black belt coaches these Jiu Jitsu classes are structured around a progressive, measurable, and consistent training curriculum designed to be effective for sport BJJ, Mixed Martial Arts and self defence.

Introduction To BJJ
The Intro to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes have been specifically designed to ensure that new students begin their Jiu Jitsu journey with a strong foundation.
The curriculum focuses on introductory techniques from every major position and is designed to help you learn the core concepts of Jiu Jitsu practice while laying the groundwork for your development and progress.
In these classes you will learn how to control an opponent in a range of situations and develop a clear understanding of the core positional hierarchy of Jiu-jitsu from the top to the bottom.
Fundamental BJJ
The Fundamental BJJ classes are the primary Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes at Elements. Suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced, these classes cover the core principles, theories and techniques of BJJ.
You will be taught how to transition, attack and defend in every position and see dramatic improvements in your overall Jiu Jitsu knowledge and skill. These class include drilling, technical work as well as situational and free sparring.
Women’s BJJ
The Women’s BJJ classes are guided by an experienced black belt instructor and are run in a fun, friendly atmosphere designed specifically for women to grow and learn quickly. These classes are suitable for all levels including beginning students.
BJJ Competition Training
The BJJ Competition Training classes focus on developing the skills and strategies specific to sport Jiu Jitsu and are geared toward preparing you physically and mentally for tournaments.
Focused primarily on sparring, these classes will familiarise you with tournament scenarios and will help you remain calm and composed under pressure.
BJJ Competition Training is open to members who are ranked one stripe or above.
Advanced BJJ
The Advanced BJJ classes explore the deep concepts and principles of Jiu Jitsu to improve performance against high level opponents.
The strategic use of drilling and situational sparring teaches you how to combine basic and complex techniques into a comprehensive strategy with an emphasis on developing an attacking, submission oriented style.
These classes are open to anyone who is ranked blue belt or above.
