Freestyle Wrestling

Freestyle Wrestling is an internationally practised grappling style which focuses on controlling, throwing and pinning your opponent and is one of the world’s most physically and mentally challenging sports.

One of two wrestling styles contested at the Olympics, Freestyle Wrestling is a dynamic and versatile discipline which allows for a wide range of techniques and styles. At Elements our fully qualified coaches will guide you through the complete art of wrestling in a fun, safe environment while helping you develop the raw strength, explosive power and dynamic balance unique to Freestyle.

Our classes cover all aspects of the sport and are made up of technical drills and partner work as well as situational and free sparring allowing you to quickly build up your skill and fitness levels.

Wrestling Fundamentals

The Elements Freestyle Wrestling program focuses on technical excellence and the broad technical and tactical development of throws, takedowns and pins.

Suitable for absolute beginners up to the advanced grappler each class will isolate and develop the fundamental movement patterns involved in freestyle wrestling and build your functional strength and fitness.

Wrestling Sparring

The Wrestling Sparring sessions provide a supportive and energetic training environment to develop a sparring specific practice of Freestyle Wrestling.

Guided by an experienced coach, these classes are run in a fun, friendly atmosphere and are suitable for anyone with three months or more regular practice.

For the safety of our members and guests these training sessions are restricted to members of Elements Fitness.
